Delivery structured for public procurement

Public sector engagements are won and lost on documentation, local employment and data residency long before anyone discusses engineering. We structure delivery so that these requirements are met by design rather than retrofitted during evaluation.

What makes this sector different

Public bodies and government-adjacent entities operate under constraints that private buyers do not: nationality and residency criteria for personnel, restrictions on where data may be processed and stored, and procurement processes that require evidence of capability rather than assertions of it.

Our approach is to employ engineers locally in the jurisdiction wherever the requirement calls for it, to be explicit about where data will reside and who can access it, and to provide the documentation an evaluation panel needs in the format it expects.

Mobilisation timelines are longer and we plan for them. Six to twelve weeks from award to steady state is normal once security clearance and onboarding are accounted for, and we build that into the programme plan rather than promising otherwise.

Where we help

Typical scopes of work

Citizen-facing service support

Application support and enhancement for public-facing digital services, with accessibility built into the definition of done.

Legacy modernisation

Incremental migration of long-lived systems, with rollback planning and no big-bang cutover.

Data platform and reporting

Pipelines and reporting layers supporting statutory and operational reporting requirements.

End-user computing across sites

Device lifecycle and support across dispersed offices and facilities.

Infrastructure and cloud support

Platform operation, patching and capacity management within stated residency constraints.

Programme capacity

Additional engineering capacity for a defined delivery phase or funding window.

How engagements are usually structured

Public sector work is most often delivered as a dedicated team under a framework or direct award, or as fixed-price project work against a defined statement of requirements. Staff augmentation is used where an in-house team needs specific skills for a bounded period.
